Hi. Not to be to nosey but do the hooters girls that work the day shift make a decent amount of money? Also I'm a newly mom and i usualy don't mind what others think, but in your opinion do you think it would look bad on my part if i worked there?
They can, though this will depend upon traffic at your store and your personal attitude. Some of the girls I work with simply cannot make more than sixty or seventy on a day shift, whereas others consistently make at least a hundred or more during a three to six hour period.
My opinion on how it, "looks," for a new mom to be working at Hooters is hardly unbiased, however, it seems to me that the best parents place their child's needs first. As spending as much time as possible with your child is the best thing that you can do for him or her, especially during those first few years of development, it seems that working a job where a minimum number of hours are required to support you both would be best. This may or may not mean working at Hooters, however, hypothetically I could likely support myself and a child with approximately twenty to thirty hours of work each week. This simply wouldn't be possible in, say retail, where I'd likely need to work full time and try to obtain as much overtime as possible. Another thing to consider is how flexible schedules are at Hooters. It will likely be very easy for you to get a schedule that works well with your child's schedule, day care/babysitters, and so on. As I said, I am biased, however, I think that as a mother what, "looks," best is to place priority on the time that you and your child spend with one another, something that will likely be made easier by working at Hooters.
